How Computers Work

Computers are electronic devices that we use every day. These are some functions of a computer:

  1. Input: Imagine a computer is like a very smart friend. You can talk to it using a special language, like typing on a keyboard or clicking a mouse. This is how you tell the computer what you want it to do.
  2. Storage: The computer also has a memory that’s like a long-term storage. It can save things for later, like when you save a game you’re playing.

  3. Output: After following the steps, the computer can show you the results on a screen or play sounds through speakers. This is the computer’s way of talking back to you.

  4. Software and Apps: The programs you use, like games and word processors, are like the computer’s games and tools. They tell the computer what to do and how to do it.
