Grade 3 – Your Rings of Responsibility – Lesson Slide
Ring of responsibility is the responsibility of an individual’s actions. Rings of responsibility are divided into three types:
- Responsibility for yourself: people are responsible to make their physical and mental health healthy, and protect their reputation and values.
Example:
- Not using violence to solve any problem because it will lead to injury and damage reputation.
- Daily exercise to stay healthy and strong.
2. Responsibility for friends and family: It refers to the way we are responsible for our actions to become a good friend and daughter or son.
Example:
- Helping friends when they are in need
- Helping doing housework
3. Responsibility for community: It is the responsibility that we have toward our society and citizens.
Example:
- Be cautious while traveling and obey the traffic lights and signs.
- Not littering trash into the river or any water sources as it will pollute the water.
As digital citizens, we should take responsibility in using the digital platforms in order to prevent ourselves, friends, family, and community from the online threats. What are rings of responsibility in digital citizenship?
- Responsibility for yourself: protect social media password, publish information that benefits other users on the internet.
- Responsibility for friends and family: do not send privacy information of your friends or family members to strangers, and get permission from them if you want to share their personal information on the internet or to anyone.
- Responsibility for community: do not spread false information, do not hack or steal other people’s information on the internet. (Source: tesd.net)
Therefore, everyone should learn on how to use technology and any digital platform in right ways. Importantly, we should consider whether our content affects ourselves, friends, family, and anyone in our community or not. A good digital citizen is someone who is able to use digital platforms with responsibility.
