What is ICT and its impact?
Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is a wide range of technology tools and resources used to transmit, store, create, share or exchange information. The tools that we use daily in our life such as Television, computers, Radio, telephone, and the internet are all part of ICT. For example, the internet has websites, blogs, and emails which are platforms the we could use to store, create and share information. ICT has made it easier for us to connect and bring us closer to one another.
ICT has changed many aspects of our daily lives, such as the shift from writing letters to emails, reading newspapers to watching television, market shopping to online shopping, and classroom learning to e-learning. Another example is the ability to stay in touch with family, friends, or colleagues when traveling overseas by using email, messaging, phone calls, or video calls.
At the same time, ICT offers people more, better, and faster ways to connect, communicate, ask for help, access information, and learn. Besides it is everywhere, Information and Communication Technology is our daily life activity and it has a very important role in our economy as well
