Google docs Key function for beginner

Let’s get started with some key functions that you will use in google docs that list down below:

  • Create new documents 
  • Change name
  • Insert images
  • Edit link
  • Download as PDF or Word
  • Share with friends and settings  



Step 1: Search docs.google.com in browser ( safari, google chrome, Firefox…)

Step 2: Create new documents 

            To create new document click blank(+) page.

  • Change name

To change name, tools, typing document, you can follow the picture.

Tools: bold text, underline text, bullet list, number list…



  • Insert images

To insert image: Go to Insert > Images > upload from computer( more options)

You can insert table, special character, chart, etc.

  • Edit link

You can paste any link in the document and edit the title for it.

Select all on the link > Ctrl K > enter the name > apply.

Or Select all on the link > right click > edit link > enter the name > apply.

  • Download as PDF or Word

          To download file:Go to file > download > PDF document ( other options)

  • Share with friends and settings 

Click on Share > Change to Anyone with the link > Viewer ( other options) > copy link > send to your friend to share document

Choose a topic and write a short paragraph using google docs and the functions that you have learned.
